Zone 6 (Kundal) is a buffer zone that has seen rapidly growing tiger activity — including recent cub sightings — while remaining less crowded than core zones 1–3.

Terrain and wildlife

Transitional forest and grassland near Rajbagh margins. Breeding tigresses increasingly establish territories here as core zone density rises. The 2026 population assessment counts 77 tigers park-wide, with buffer zones carrying a growing share.
