Zone 4 encompasses Kachida Valley and Lakkarda — Ranthambore's premier leopard territory with dramatic rocky terrain and sloth bear families.

Terrain and wildlife

Boulder-strewn valleys, ridgeline leopard habitat, sloth bears foraging at dusk, and Indian pitta in pre-monsoon months. Tiger presence is lower than zones 1–3 but increasing as population density pushes sub-adults outward.

• Closed: Every Wednesday
• Best for: Leopards, bears, forest birding
• Photography: 400mm+ telephoto for distant ridgeline subjects
