Leopard Photographed At Dusk In Kachida Valley, Zone 4

A leopard was photographed at dusk on a rocky outcrop in Kachida Valley, Zone 4 — one of Ranthambore's most productive leopard territories and among the rarer daylight felid encounters in the park.

Zone 4 covers George Lodge, Lakkarda, and the dramatic boulder fields of Kachida Valley. Unlike tigers, leopards here favour ridgelines and rocky cover, often appearing briefly at dawn or dusk. Sloth bear families also forage in the valley, and Indian pitta calls are commonly heard during the pre-monsoon transition (May–June).

The park's rocky terrain in Zone 4 creates excellent contrast for photography — bring a 400mm+ telephoto as subjects frequently appear on distant outcrops.
