Zone 1 enters through the Singhdwar gate at Sawai Madhopur and circuits Padam Talab — the most iconic lake landscape in Indian tiger country.

Terrain and wildlife

Open lakeside scenery with excellent visibility. Regular tiger traffic, mugger crocodiles basking on rocks, and exceptional dawn photography light. Resident tigers include individuals from the Noor (T-39) lineage and other core-territory cats.

Insider tip

Morning safaris (from 6:30 AM in winter) place Padam Talab in warm side-light. Crocodile sightings are most reliable between 6:30 and 8:30 AM before heat drives them to shade.
