Jungle - Safari

We organize and book jungle drives within the Ranthambhore National Park.

Best time to visit: The Park is open to tourists from the 1st of October to the 30th of June. Most of the tourists visit the park between November and March, mainly because the summer's heat is unbearable.

The period between November and February is excellent for wildlife viewing, particularly for bird watching. A lot of migratory birds visit the park during the winter months.

During the summer months (April to June), when the temperature soars above 40 degrees centigrade during the day, sighting tigers is relatively easier than it is in the winter months.

March is a great month for wildlife viewing and also a time when the temperatures are not very high.

The magnificent eighth-century Ranthambhore Fort is situated within the National Park. It is one of India's largest with a circumference of eight kilometers and was among the most strategic forts in Hindustan during the Mughal period. It has Mughal and Rajput palaces, mosques, and temples, including an important one dedicated to Lord Ganesha, the Elephant God. It would be ideal to organize a picnic or a half-day excursion to the Fort

The old city of Sawai Madhopur is known for its silver jewelry, various objects made from khus (vetiver) grass, indigenous perfumes, and other local craft. It also has some old temples and is worth a visit.

We organize a camel safari, outside the reserve, on prior booking. One has a good chance of spotting birds, smaller mammals, and maybe an occasional herd of the Indian antelope. This is a great way to explore rural Rajasthan.

Surwal Lake is a great place where one can spot migratory duck, geese, and other birds during the winter season.

The Dastakari Kendra is a local co-operative society that provides employment to village women and keeps alive local skills. It is walking distance from the camp but we provide a vehicle at no charge.

Summer :Morning April to June 0630 hr to 1030 hr Evening 1530 hr to 1830 hr

Winter :October to March Morning 0700 hr to 1100 hr Evening 1500 hr to 1800 hr

Right of Admission is reserved with The Government of Rajasthan.

• The Park may be closed without any previous notice to visitors.

• No refund / cancellation is permitted after booking is confirmed.

• Bookings are non-transferrable.

• Reserved seats cannot be resold to / exchanged with any other visitor.

• Identity proof is a must before entry into the Park.

• Cost of Ticket and accessories may change after booking and the visitor will be liable to pay the difference at the time of entry.

• The visitor is required to positively report for boarding a Gypsy/Canter 15 minutes before the scheduled departure time at the designated boarding point.

Rules for Photo Equipments:

• No charges for Still Camera.

• Charges for PCam (movies 8 mm, 16 mm and video camera used by a mature photographer), DCam (video camera and movie camera used by a professional photographer for films other than feature films - filming by an Indian company/agency), VCam (video camera and movie camera used by a professional photographer for films other than feature films - filming by a foreign company/agency), FCam (movie camera and video camera used for feature films) as per Tourism/Forest Department policy.

Special Note on the Park Safari:

• To book a safari, we require the name and passport number for Foreign Nationals as well as for Indians.

• In the case of Indian nationals, we need the name and identity details of everyone who is traveling at time of the safari booking.

• The date, time, and kind of safari (i.e., Morning/ Afternoon) and any other excursions at the time of making reservation.

• Identity proof is a must before entry into the Park.

• To confirm the safari, the visitors need to make an advance payment. This deposit is non-refundable and non-adjustable. It is difficult to get Jeeps at Ranthambhore, as only 14 Jeeps are allowed to go inside the park each day, and there are only 6 guests per Jeep - the rest of the guests travel by the Canters, which are 20-seater open safari buses.

• The entire safari is subject to availability and is first come first served.

• For a park safari, the Forest Department charges the full advance payment for the vehicle hire charges, vehicle park entry fee, pax entry fee, and naturalist charges.

• Vehicles are released by the Forest Department only when full advance payment is received, and the advance bookings are non-refundable and non-adjustable.

• No refund / cancellation is permitted after booking is confirmed. Bookings are non-transferrable.

• Any changes in entrance fees or government taxes will be extra and will have to be paid by the Guest or Travel Agent.

• Any changes in policies by the Ranthambhore Park authorities will be intimated to the guest and will be applicable for all future bookings.
